The entry list for Red Kiwi World RX of Germany has revealed the biggest Supercar entry of the year so far with a total of 41 Supercars and 11 different marques. The event has also attracted 25 Super1600 cars plus a further 11 entries in the TouringCar category.
Besides the regular World RX drivers, other notable entrants include Swedish rally driver PG Andersson who also becomes the 100th different Supercar driver to enter World RX this year. Andersson – a two-time Junior World Rally Champion – will drive a Skoda Fabia Supercar prepared by Hedstroms Motorsport. Former GT1 and current WTCC driver Rene Munnich will compete for the first time this year in an Audi S3 Supercar. Volkswagen Marklund will run a third Polo RX Supercar in Germany which will be driven by Ronny C Rock – who currently holds the Guinness World Record for drift parking in reverse. Swedish lady driver Ramona Karlsson returns to World RX for the German RX round, fielding an Albatec Racing prepared Peugeot 208 Supercar while Jacques Villeneuve sits out due to F1 commentating commitments. Villeneuve will return for World RX of Italy at the end of the month.
Red Kiwi World RX of Germany also marks the penultimate round of this year’s Euro RX, which Robin Larsson currently leads by two points over Henning Solberg.
